Snowshoe hiking on the Luson Alp

Winter hiking around the Hotel Bergschlössl

Learn to ski at the Hotel Bergschlössl

With the small practice lift directly at the Bergschlössl, beginners in particular get their money's worth. The 1-kilometre-long lift with its own ski and equipment rental is only a five-minute walk from the hotel entrance. Ski courses and training sessions are held here, but the lift is also very popular with families due to its clear layout.

Only 20 minutes away from the Bergschlössl is the Plose - the skiing area of Lüsen and the entire Eisack Valley. It is considered the local mountain of the bishop's town of Bressanone and has a uniquely wide mountain panorama on all slopes over the Dolomite world of the Puez Geisler Nature Park and the glacier world of the main Alpine ridge. With 10 lifts, over 43 kilometres of pistes, a multitude of rustic alpine huts and mountain restaurants, as well as a sophisticated ski rental concept, nothing stands in the way of skiing fun. Incidentally, Plose boasts the longest valley run in South Tyrol: the Trametsch (9 km). In addition, the ski bus runs four times a day free of charge directly from the Bergschlössl Hotel to the Plose valley station.

Cross-country skiing & ski touring on the Lüsner Alm

Luson, the insider tip in the Eisack Valley

Snow Luson Alps

In the entire Eisack Valley there are around 240 groomed slopes for every level of difficulty, divided between around 25 cross-country ski trails. You will find some of these in Lüsen and on the Würzjoch. The longest high alpine pasture in South Tyrol, the Lüsner-Rodenecker Alm, stands above all for a quiet cross-country skiing area and is therefore the insider tip in the Eisacktal for all cross-country skiers. With four snow-sure cross-country trails, over 50 kilometres of trails and a fairytale Dolomite panorama, the Alm is the ideal area for cross-country skiers. The trails are prepared for both techniques, classic and skating. The Palmschoß-Würzjoch trail (approx. 8 km long) and the Kreuztal circular trail (approx. 5 km long) run along the legendary Dolomites.

In the area around the Hotel Bergschlössl there are numerous ski tours for every level of difficulty. Some of them stretch over the fraction Flitt of Luson to the Lüsner-Rodenecker Alp and over its hilly plateau. But also in the Puez Geisler Nature Park there are many tours that lead to the natural highlights of the surrounding area with a mountain panorama and a tranquillity that will be remembered for a long time.
